Walmart Canada in Portage la Prairie, MB is seeking an overnight stocking team leader to help guide department operations and develop associates through teaching and training.

You will plan and execute department activities, respond to issues, and assist on the sales floor as needed, ensuring secure displays and accurate audits.

• Provide direction and coordinate task completion per priorities from General Merchandise Coach and Store Management Team.
• Assess store department presentation and merchandising; note deficiencies and implement changes.
• Lead daily Team Huddle at each shift start; provide updates and set goals.
• Ensure high-ticket merchandise is secured; complete daily security audits and lockups.
• Review completed schedules with People Lead.
• Tour areas with Coach and team to identify training opportunities; provide feedback.
• Contribute to a safe, clean, hazard-free environment; follow safety logs and policy.
• Complete GTA/Workday tasks and support Management.
• Partner with Coach/People Lead to facilitate performance and growth conversations; support recruiting.

Position Summary...

Assists in the leadership of the overnight stocking teams and department processes, respond to problems and inquiries and develop associates through teaching and training.

Plans and executes department activities based on workload and operational functions and assists on the salesfloor as required.

What You'll Do...

• Assists in providing direction and the co-ordination of task completion as per communicated priorities from the General Merchandise Coach and the Store Management Team.
• Assesses the overall presentation of store departments and appearance, noting deficiencies for corrective action and executing merchandising display changes where required.
• Ensures strong communication with associates, leads the daily Team Huddle at the start of each shift and provide the team with updates, set goals, and track productivity.
• Ensuring all high ticket merchandise is secured, all doors and lockups are secured when not in use and completing daily audits as per program.
• Review completed schedules with People Lead.
• Tours assigned areas with the Coach and team associates to validate and identify training opportunities. Develops associates through teaching and training and provides feedback as needed.
• Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure.
• Complete GTA/Workday tasks and supports Management
• Partner with Coach/People Lead to facilitate performance management and growth conversations for Associates. Supports recruiting and hiring new associates.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $19.65.
