West Coast Reduction Ltd. is seeking a Stock Room - Purchaser at our Vancouver plant. The role maintains inventory data accuracy, processes purchase requisitions, and reviews stock levels to replenish inventory as needed.

You will liaise with vendors and internal users to ensure timely, accurate replenishment and optimal stock levels, while supporting orderly storeroom operations. The position is full-time, in-office, with wage of 36 CAD per hour and a comprehensive benefits package including

Qualifications

• 2–3 years purchasing or inventory management experience.
• Proficient in MS Office; ERP experience a plus.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence with clean abstract.
• Strong English communication, both written and verbal.
• Ability to read diagrams, schematics and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory data accuracy and process purchase requisitions.
• Review inventory data regularly and replenish stock as needed.
• Manage relationships with vendors and internal end users.
• Ensure storeroom items are issued and stored in an orderly manner.
• Communicate shortages or overstock to Purchasing Agent promptly.
• Work with end users to define specifications and support inventory systems.

This position is full-time and is 100% in-office.

Based at our Vancouver plant, TheStock Room - Purchaser is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of inventory systems at the Plant through processing purchase requisitions and reviewing the inventory data on a regular basis. Other responsibilities of the role include managing relationships between the company and customers in a professional manner, and replenishing inventory as needed.

Wage: $36 hourly

• Review and maintain the accuracy of inventory systems by verifying quantities and checking for shortages and/or overstock

• Issue items from the storeroom and help maintain storeroom in an orderly manner
• Work with end users to understand their needs & define specifications
• Work overtime as instructed to ensure minimal downtime of facilities

QUALIFICATIONS & FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Possession of a valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence with a clean abstract
• 2-3 years of purchasing and/or inventory management experience, or willingness to learn an asset
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Experience with ERP systems is an asset
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, with excellent communication skills
• Ability to read or interpret diagrams, schematic drawings and manuals to determine work procedures
• Ability to frequently move, carry, lift, push and pull equipment up to 50 lbs without assistance and occasionally greater with assistance
• Perform repetitive motions including bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing and reaching overhead above the shoulders daily
• Adaptable to adverse conditions including confined space, heights, cold weather, odours and exposure to animal by-products
