Job summary

Explore Edmonton Corporation seeks a Steward at the Edmonton Convention Centre to support event delivery by cleaning and sanitizing dishes, glassware, and cutlery. You will store items properly and help maintain a tidy, safe work area during shifts.

Prior dishwashing experience and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting are essential. You’ll collaborate with other departments and enjoy meal discounts and other employee perks.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle stressful situations, and perform tasks that require standing, walking, pushing, heavy lifting, and grasping.

Responsibilities

• Collect soiled dishware from halls and meeting rooms.
• Sort dishes according to size and shape, place empty glassware on racks, and place cutlery in bus pans.
• Confirm machine parts are in the correct positions and water levels are accurate, and ensure all dishes are sanitized and polished.
• Maintain a clean workstation by rinsing machines, mopping, and locking the soap room at the end of each shift.
• Ensure all dishes are neatly and safely stored in designated areas.

About the Position

The Edmonton Convention Centre is looking for Stewards to join our team. Reporting to the Chief Steward, the Steward is responsible for cleaning all dishes, glassware, and flatware and storing them in the appropriate areas. This role supports the cleanliness and organization required for the successful delivery of events at the Edmonton Convention Centre.

What You’ll Do:
