Job summary

Fairmont Vancouver Airport in Vancouver, BC, is seeking a dishwasher to provide professional, friendly service and maintain a clean, safe kitchen. You will clean dishes and equipment, keep work areas clear, and assist with general cleaning tasks in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

This role is on-site at the airport, offering growth within a global hospitality group, a competitive hourly wage after probation, plus a staff meal and a commitment to diversity and internal transfer opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Must possess and maintain valid Food Safe certification.
  • Ability to work cohesively with colleagues as part of a team.
  • Strong commitment to a clean and safe work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional, engaging service.
  • Clean dishes, utensils, baking and buffet equipment.
  • Keep floors and work areas clear of hazards.
  • General cleaning including mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, polishing.
  • Support health and safety initiatives and maintain sanitary dish areas.
  • Work a variety of shifts including AM, PM, and overnight.

Job Description
What you will be doing:
  • Consistently offering professional, engaging and friendly service
  • Responsible for cleaning of dishes, cutlery, baking & buffet equipment
  • Responsible for keeping floors and work areas clear of hazards and obstruction
  • General cleaning - mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, cleansing, polishing
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment, and actively participate in health and safety initiatives
  • Upkeep clean and sanitary conditions of dishwashing areas
  • Working availability of a variety of shifts, including AM, PM & Overnights
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
  • Passionate about maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Must possess and maintain valid Food Safe certification
Physical Aspects Include But Are Not Limited To
  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
  • Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
