North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust in Peterborough is seeking a Sterile Services Assistant to support the decontamination of surgical instruments and endoscopes within the SSD. The role involves heavy lifting, exposure to bodily fluids, and working with chemicals and machinery, with full training provided.

Flexibility to cover shifts is required; there is no direct patient contact. Prior experience is desirable but not essential as training will be given on ISO13485:2016 quality systems.

Responsabilidades

• Sterilise and decontaminate surgical instrument sets and flexible endoscopes.
• Work in Sterile Services Department (SSD) ensuring safety and effectiveness.
• Heavy lifting/manual handling and exposure to bodily fluids, chemicals and machinery.
• No involvement with patients; shifts may vary to meet service demands.
