Job summary

The Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) is seeking a STEP assessor to support K-12 students by administering the STEP assessment prior to enrolment at the NWC, school, or local learning centre.

The role includes writing a summative report to guide educational programming and ongoing collaboration with the MLL Consultant and the NWC STEP results coordinator. Scheduling is coordinated by the Program Coordinator.

Qualifications

• OCT Certificate required.
• ESL qualifications required.
• Experience with Elementary and Secondary education.
• Preferred: STEP assessments experience.
• Preferred: Special Education Qualification.

Responsibilities

• Administer STEP assessments to students entering SCDSB prior to enrolment at the NWC, school, or local learning centre.
• Write summative reports to inform educational programming for school officials.
• Communicate regularly with the MLL Consultant and the NWC coordinator of STEP results.
• Adjust assessment times as needed and schedule determined in advance by the Program Coordinator.

The STEP assessor will:

Support students K-12 entering the SCDSB by administering the STEP assessment prior toenrolment either at the NWC or at their school or local learning centre

Write the summative report for school officials to plan appropriate educational programming

Regular communicate and collaborate with the MLL Consultant and the NWC coordinator of STEP assessment results

Assessment times may need to be adjusted to meet client needs (schedule to be determined in advance by the Program Coordinator)

Rate: Non-Instructional Con-Ed Remedial Rate: $51.95/hour
