CREATESPACE Academy is hiring STEM Education Specialists to deliver after-school programs at elementary and middle schools across Burnaby, the Tri-Cities and the North Shore. This is a co-op, hybrid position with weekday after-school hours; candidates should be available for in-person teaching at partner schools with some remote work.

Qualifications

  • Must currently be a student; Computer Science students are preferred
  • Experience working with children; teaching or classroom experience preferred
  • Interest or experience in STEM, robotics, coding, AI, engineering, or technology
  • Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
  • Must have access to a reliable vehicle and be able to drive to different school locations
  • Must be available during weekday after-school hours throughout the week
  • Energetic, patient, responsible, organized, and dependable
  • Confident leading and managing groups of children
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to travel to Burnaby, the Tri-Cities, and the North Shore
  • Valid First Aid certification required

STEM Education Specialist - co-op(winter 2027)

CREATESPACE Academy is hiring STEM Education Specialists to deliver after-school STEM programs at elementary and middle schools across Burnaby, the Tri-Cities (Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam & Port Moody), and the North Shore.

This is a co-op, hybrid position. Candidates must be available during weekday after-school hours, as class locations and schedules may vary by term.

Our hands-on programs introduce students to LEGO Robotics, Coding, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Engineering, LEGO Storytelling, and other STEM concepts through engaging, project-based activities.

Requirements
