Steel Structure & Rebar Estimator (Structural Steel & Concrete Works)

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Steel Structure & Rebar Estimator to join our construction team in Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for material take-offs, site supervision, and coordination of structural steel frames, reinforcement works, and formwork activities on mid-size to large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform detailed quantity take-offs for structural steel (columns, beams, bracing, connections) and reinforced concrete components (rebar and formwork) based on drawings.
• Oversee on-site installation of steel structures, rebar placement, and formwork, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and suppliers for timely material delivery and execution.
• Monitor progress, quality, enforce safety protocols, and prepare daily site reports.
• Suggest cost-saving measures and identify discrepancies in drawings or specifications.

Qualifications :

• Minimum 5 years of experience in steel erection, rebar works, and formwork systems.
• Knowledge of Canadian standards (CSA, NBC) related to steel and concrete construction.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication details.
• Experience in material estimating, site coordination, and supervision.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Assets :

• Experience in commercial or industrial projects.
• Familiarity with quantity take-off software (e.g., Planswift, Bluebeam, RebarCAD).
