Steel Structure & Rebar Estimator (Structural Steel & Concrete Works)

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Steel Structure & Rebar Estimator to join our construction team in Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for material take-offs, site supervision, and coordination of structural steel frames, reinforcement works, and formwork activities on mid-size to large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform detailed quantity take-offs for structural steel (columns, beams, bracing, connections) and reinforced concrete components (rebar and formwork) based on drawings.
2. Oversee on-site installation of steel structures, rebar placement, and formwork, ensuring compliance with standards.
3. Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and suppliers for timely material delivery and execution.
4. Monitor progress, quality, enforce safety protocols, and prepare daily site reports.
5. Suggest cost-saving measures and identify discrepancies in drawings or specifications.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum 5 years of experience in steel erection, rebar works, and formwork systems.
2. Knowledge of Canadian standards (CSA, NBC) related to steel and concrete construction.
3. Proficiency in reading blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication details.
4. Experience in material estimating, site coordination, and supervision.
5. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Assets:

1. Experience in commercial or industrial projects.
