Job Description and Responsibilities

Join Interpro Pipe and Steel as a Lab Supervisor and drive innovation in our quality assurance team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the daily operations of our cutting‑edge steel laboratory, ensuring precise testing and analysis to uphold our reputation for excellence.

  • Supervise the day‑to‑day operations of employees working in the lab
  • Provide performance feedback, coaching, and training of employees
  • Perform calibration and routine maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with operational and quality standards
  • Review testing requirements for each product
  • Drive continuous improvement, with a focus on safety performance, task time and consumable costs
  • Conduct qualification testing with third party inspectors
  • Review test results with product specialists to facilitate pipe release
Requirements
  • Post secondary education in related field
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated experience in a supervisory role
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact with individuals at various levels within the organization
  • Ability to multi‑task, prioritize responsibilities and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail, close observation, and concentration skills
  • Good knowledge of steel or laboratory processes is an asset
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; ability to learn other software applications
