Job Description - Station Terminal Operation Control (STOC) Coordinator (FT) (YVR-STOC-5200-25A)

Purpose of Position:

To provide support services to the airport related to day-to-day operations, ensuring the highest level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain radio communication with flight crews and ground personnel.
  • Receive and relay data from flight crews, ramp, sales, commissary, and maintenance personnel.
  • Plot gate assignments on the Gate Management System and coordinate aircraft towing according to gating restrictions for safe movement of aircraft, personnel, and passengers.
  • Monitor forecasts and routing changes, update arrival/departure times, inform relevant personnel, and update FIDS/FMIS screens.
  • Investigate delays and code them appropriately in airport operations systems.
  • Assist in other related duties as instructed by shift supervisor or manager.
  • Perform duties following established policies and procedures, prioritizing safety for yourself, coworkers, and customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

This position involves shift work and prolonged sitting.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Post-secondary education is an asset.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency with multiple computer screens.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Experience in airline operations is an asset.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced, high-stress environment and multitask with strong decision-making skills.
  • Preference for candidates with a Restricted Radio License.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identification ID pass upon employment.
