CBC News seeks a Station Technician In-Charge to lead technical operations at our proposed new production facilities in Calgary. You will oversee all technical aspects of media production—including live broadcasting, user technology support, newsgathering equipment, and facility management. This role is a key opportunity to help build a state-of-the-art broadcast facility using the latest technology and workflows. You will combine superior technical expertise with strong interpersonal, mentoring, and communication skills. As a proactive problem-solver, you will thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven news environment, working independently or as part of a team while fostering a respectful and inclusive workplace. You bring a genuine passion for news and understanding of Alberta’s evolving political and economic landscape to our production team.
Requires a diploma in Radio or Television Arts from a community college, or equivalent industry experience.
Five years of related experience.
