Your Role

The successful candidate will focus primarily on the production of local and remote news broadcasts.

With appropriate direction from a Switcher/Director, you will co-ordinate pre-production, production and post-production tasks for newscasts. While work generally follows established standards and procedures, you will have the latitude to take initiative and exercise independent judgement. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential. Work regularly involves the co-ordination of the activities of others.

You will prepare required assets — including archival visuals and media for editing short segments — and assist with script and rundown preparation. Additionally, you will gather necessary information for show production, keep lineups and rundowns updated, notify relevant team members of changes and catalogue materials for department archives.

You will book facilities and secure all required technical, presentation and post-production resources. You will also co-ordinate and manage these bookings as production schedules are created or adjusted.

Please note that this is a full-time, permanent position.

This role requires full-time on-site presence.

Your profile:

• Community college diploma in radio and television arts, or equivalent.
• At least two (2) years’ relevant experience in television program production, computing and broadcasting technologies.
• Excellent command of spoken and written French; working knowledge of spoken and written English is an asset.
• Strong understanding of newsroom operations and sound editorial judgment.
• Demonstrated proficiency with iNews and MediaCentral software.
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to conduct research and synthesize information from multiple sources.
• Strong technical and production skills.
• Excellent prioritisation and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to maintain attention to detail under tight deadlines.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Adaptability to new workflows.
