Job description

Commissionaires BC is currently recruiting for casual Station Attendants to work with us on the West Coast Express line!

West Coast Express has stations from Waterfront to Mission. For this position, it is between the Port Coquitlam, Coquitlam, and Port Moody stations.

This position would suit early risers wanting to add a few extra shifts to their week.

Shift times and locations will vary between 5 am to 9:30 am. The pay rate will be $25.41/hr.

Note that this is a unionized position.

Some of your responsibilities include:
  • Providing superior customer service to clients and the public
  • Greeting customers and assisting them with the use of the service
  • Making public announcements regarding train difficulties and delays
  • Administering the Lost & Found
  • Performing random fare validation checks and passenger counts
  • Monitoring stations for vandalism, maintenance, and safety concerns
  • Keeping station conditions clean, presentable, and safe, including trash, snow, and graffiti removal
  • Maintaining equipment and inventory
  • Liaising with law enforcement when necessary
  • Investigating and documenting incidents promptly and accurately
  • Serving as a first responder in building emergencies such as evacuations and medical emergencies
  • Reporting to the Site Supervisor and Operations Management for further duties as necessary
Your Must-Haves:
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to travel to various sites with your own vehicle
  • OFA 1 certification
  • Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and professionally
  • Fluent English skills in reading, writing, and speaking
  • Interest and experience in serving the public
  • Positive and professional attitude with strong customer service skills
