Job summary

Evergreen Sheet Metal (2018) Ltd seeks a Stainless Steel Level B Welder for the Clinical Support and Research Centre Project in Downtown Vancouver. This full-time role requires working at construction sites, reading blueprints, and coordinating with engineers and inspectors within a Local 280 union environment.

You will perform welds across stainless grades, adhere to CSAW47.1/47.2 standards, and participate in safety talks and site meetings.

Qualifications

• Welding with SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, GTAW in field settings.
• Reading blueprints and welding symbols to CSA standards.
• Experience with CSW/W47.1/W47.2 CSA requirements.
• Ability to supervise site work and coordinate crew.
• Strong safety knowledge per provincial OHS rules.
• Complete FLHAs, toolbox talks, and safety paperwork.
• Communicate with engineers, inspectors and site supervisors.

Evergreen Sheet Metal (2018) has been operating in the BC Lower Mainland HVAC and Sheet Metal Industry for over 15 years. We are a part of the Local 280 union, and we are currently looking for a hardworking individual to join our team as a Stainless Steel Level B Welder at the Clinical Support and Research Centre Project in Downtown Vancouver.

Skills & Requirements:

• Strong welding skills (SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, GTAW).
• Ability to read blueprints, welding symbols, and CSA standards.
• Experience with CWB/CSA welding requirements (W47.1, W47.2, W59).
• Leadership skills for supervising and coordinating site work.
• Strong safety knowledge (provincial OHS rules).
• Ability to complete FLHAs, toolbox talks, and safety paperwork.
• Good communication with engineers, inspectors, and site supervisors.

Qualification

• Red Seal Welder (preferred).
• CWB welding tickets (CSA W47.1 / W47.2).
• WHMIS 2015, Fall Protection, Confined Space, First Aid, CSTS-20.
• Aerial Lift / Forklift
• Journeyperson WelderCertification (provincial).
• Additional technical or sheet metal trades training is an asset.

Work Conditions

• This is a full-time position

• Walking through uneven ground on construction sites

Compensation:

$51.80/h + Phone allowance: $50/month.
