Job summary

Bombardier Transportation GmbH in Dorval, QC invites motivated students to join as a Quality Analyst Intern for Winter 2027. You will support the Quality team in analyzing supplier and manufacturing issues and help drive improvements.

You will develop dashboards, present metrics to stakeholders, and participate in cross-functional problem-solving. Fluency in French and English, along with strong MS Office skills, are required, and a hybrid work arrangement is offered.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in a relevant field (Aerospace/Quality/Industrial Engineering or Business).
• Proficient with MS Office and comfortable analyzing data for insights.
• Strong time management, organization, and proactive problem solving.
• Fluent in both French and English, spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Support the Quality team in analyzing and resolving quality-related issues affecting suppliers and manufacturing.
• Use data analysis to identify trends, recommend corrective actions, and support decisions.
• Prepare and present quality metrics, dashboards, and reports to stakeholders.
• Participate in cross-functional problem-solving for simple to moderately complex issues.
• Assist in internal audits and monitoring compliance with quality systems.
• Contribute to projects that strengthen site compliance and customer satisfaction.
• Support continuous improvement through root cause analysis and action implementation.
• Collaborate with team members across the organization to drive quality performance.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Support the Quality team in analyzing and resolving quality-related issues impacting suppliers, manufacturing operations, and cross-site activities.
• Use data analysis tools to identify trends, recommend corrective actions, and support business decision-making.
• Prepare and present quality metrics, dashboards, and reports to stakeholders and management.
• Participate in cross-functional problem-solving activities to address simple to moderately complex technical and quality concerns.
• Assist in conducting internal audits and monitoring compliance with quality system requirements.
• Contribute to projects that strengthen site compliance, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives through root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and process optimization.
• Perform analytical work and develop recommendations in support of strategic and operational Quality projects.
• Collaborate with team members across the organization to drive quality performance and achieve project objectives.

How to thrive in this role?

• You are currently pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering, Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, or another related field.
• You are proficient with the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and are comfortable analyzing and presenting data.
• You demonstrate strong time management skills and can effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines.
• You possess excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities, coupled with sound judgment and a proactive mindset.
• You are recognized for your analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to identify opportunities for improvement.
• You are innovative, curious, and motivated to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies such as Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys, Lean principles, Continuous Improvement, or structured problem-solving techniques is considered an asset.
• You demonstrate professionalism and have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• You are fluent in both French and English, spoken and written.
