Job summary

Brex is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to operate across Acquisition Engineering, driving high-impact, cross-team initiatives from first touch to ongoing adoption. You will set technical direction, raise the bar for design and execution, and multiply engineering effectiveness across the group.

This leadership role has no direct reports but partners with Staff Engineers, product leaders, and GTM stakeholders to deliver customer impact.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with leadership across teams.
• Deep experience designing and operating large-scale backend or full-stack systems.
• Ability to influence across engineering, product, and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Identify and drive high-impact cross-team technical initiatives across Acquisition Engineering.
• Set technical direction for cross-team systems and improve reliability and data quality.
• Partner with GTM Engineering, Salesforce, Onboarding, and Adoption to improve end-to-end experiences.
• Mentor senior engineers and develop future technical leaders.
• Collaborate with product, design, data, and operations to translate opportunities into scalable solutions.
