The FortiSOAR R&D team is looking for a Staff Software Developer to help improve and expand our SOAR capabilities in the platform. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for designing and building the FortiSOAR SaaS platform. You will be working on everything from requirements gathering (working with Product Management and customers) to UX design (working with designers), architecture, and implementation (working with UI developers).

Responsibilities

1. Design and build the UI framework for FortiSOAR SaaS platform.
2. Accurately translate user and business needs into functional, secure, and efficient frontend design and code.
3. Design and build reusable components and front-end libraries empowering rapid development.
4. Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality implementation.
5. Optimize components for maximum performance across web-capable devices and browsers.
6. Collaborate with backend and quality engineers to spec, write, test, and deploy code that integrates with data streams and API endpoints.
7. Utilize responsive design techniques and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
8. Define and maintain design standards, guidelines, and best practices for UI/UX consistency across projects.
9. Perform code reviews and improve/ensure the quality of the product.
10. Stay up-to-date with emerging design trends, tools, and technologies to continuously enhance the user experience.
11. Drive innovation in the UI design process to differentiate the product in competitive markets.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent education.
2. Experience: 8 to 12 Years of UI architecture design and programming experience, preferably in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
3. Experience with workflow engines or SOAR products used at scale.
4. A deep understanding of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks (Angular, VueJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, ReactJS - at least two).
5. In-depth knowledge of JavaScript designs and architectural patterns.
6. Experience with CSS pre-processors like LESS or SASS.
7. Problem-solving skills and ability to learn and adopt new technologies.
8. Strong analysis, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
9. A good understanding of server-side implementations. Knowledgeable of REST API patterns and design concerns.
10. Knowledgeable of the performance, scalability & security considerations for web applications.
11. Proficient with debugging and testing tools to troubleshoot and optimize the UI.
12. Understanding of front-end security best practices and XSS, CSRF, etc.
13. Solid understanding of user interactions required for Single-Page Applications.
14. Strong communication skills -- both verbal and written – and able to quickly learn and implement new technologies, application-appropriate frameworks, and tools.
15. Knowledge of SOAR/SIEM platforms, working with SOC teams will be an advantage.

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $122,500 - $163,300 annually. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
