Job summary

Google LLC in Waterloo, ON, Canada is seeking a Share Staff Software Developer to advance the Cloud Source and software supply chain security platforms. The role focuses on architecting scalable systems, integrating AI-first capabilities, and ensuring secure, multi-tenant cloud infrastructure.

You will collaborate with Cloud foundations teams to meet stringent security and compliance requirements while driving productive, reliable software delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 5 years of experience with large-scale distributed systems.
• 5 years of experience with Cloud APIs or building secure, multi-tenant cloud infrastructure environments.
• 3 years of experience with Git.
• 2 years of experience with software supply chain security, OpenID connect (OIDC), identity and access management (IAM) policy delegation, or cryptographic signing frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Support architectural evolution and influence the future technical direction of Google Cloud's source code management and software supply chain security infrastructure.
• Transition source code management (SCM) products into an "AI-first" era by developing capabilities that enable agents to autonomously orchestrate the software development lifecycle, ultimately improving organizational productivity and driving GCP runtime usage.
• Design and develop the next generation of managed software supply chain security services at the intersection of systems development and identity security.
• Lead and partner with Cloud foundations teams to build and deliver platforms that meet the security and compliance requirements of enterprise and public sector customers.
• Partner with Product Managers and other Tech Leads to prioritize opportunities, efficiently distribute work to the team, and maintain system reliability by participating in Cloud Source on-call rotations.
