It leverages computer vision AI to Measure, Alert, and provide AI-generated Recommendations for operational improvements at clients such as Merlin/Legoland, 7-11, Tanger Outlets, Manhattan Mini Storage, Charlotte Hornets, Calgary Flames, and others. In the future, Safari AI aims to use this data to suggest optimizations for client SOPs to boost revenue and enhance guest and staff experiences.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Own one or more core services at Safari AI
• Practice engineering best practices in system design, coding, documentation, and communication
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to identify and communicate priorities
• Contribute to process improvements in engineering development
• Set technical direction for backend and frontend stacks

Minimum Requirements

• Experience as part of a startup founding team (founder or founding engineer)
• Strong enthusiasm for AI/data and belief in our mission
• 5-8 years of software development experience as an individual contributor
• Familiarity with frontend frameworks like React JS
• Proficiency in at least one cloud platform (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Proven ability to build complex services from scratch to production
• Experience delivering features and maintaining service reliability
• Understanding of SDLC best practices and security compliance
• Expertise in one of the following stacks: big data frameworks (Flink, Hadoop, Spark), full stack (React/Vue, CRUD), embedded CV (TensorRT, GStreamer), or AI product management

• Experience building and mentoring teams
• PhD in computer science or related fields
