Responsibilities

• Conduct end-to-end data analyses, from data wrangling with SQL or Python to statistical modeling and business hypothesis presentation.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of learning and technical excellence.
• Work with large, complex textual and visual datasets.
• Support development and deployment of ML models for offline and real-time applications.
• Fine-tune transformer models for text and visual understanding, and derive embeddings for various input types.
• Automate and productionize ML pipelines within Python services.
• Advocate best practices in ML development and operations, mentoring newer engineers.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing and deploying ML models, especially neural networks and computer vision, with supporting data pipelines.
• Proficiency with ML packages such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Spark MLlib, XGBoost, and Sklearn.
• Strong coding skills in Python, Java, or C++.
• Understanding of engineering and infrastructure best practices.
• Curiosity and persistence in solving new problems.
• Valuable experience with LLMs, API utilization (OpenAI, Bedrock), prompt engineering, and evaluation.
