Job summary

Pursuit is hiring a Staff Housing Attendant in Alberta. You will create a clean, welcoming living environment for team members, reporting to the Housing Manager.

Responsibilities include room inspections, basic repairs, deep cleaning, and coordinating with the housing team on improvements. The role requires at least one year in housekeeping or maintenance, a valid Alberta driver’s license, strong English communication, and the ability to lift up to 100 lbs on occasion.

Qualifications

• At least one year of housekeeping or maintenance experience is preferred.
• A valid Alberta driver’s license.

• Must have strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete room inspections after move-outs to ensure cleanliness.
• Complete basic repairs and attend to maintenance requests.
• Conduct deep cleaning tasks and project work such as painting, coordinating furniture moves, and troubleshooting appliances.
• Snow removal and lawn care.
• Support the Housing Manager with capital projects and staff housing improvements.
• Assist the housing team with bi-monthly inspections.
• Clean and prepare any rooms that do not meet established standards for move-ins.
• Meet and greet new team members as instructed by the housing team.
• Follow all health and safety regulations.
• Participate in after-hours Housing Department on-call rotation.

This is a full-time, year-round position. The starting wage for this role is $24.00/hour.

Roles & Responsibilities

The Staff Housing Attendant has the essential role of creating a clean and enjoyable environment for our team members. Reporting to the Housing Manager, this role requires an individual who is self-motivated, organized, and passionate about creating the best possible experience for our team members living in housing.

• Complete room inspections after move-outs to ensure cleanliness
• Complete basic repairs and attend to maintenance requests
• Conduct deep cleaning tasks and project work such as painting, coordinating furniture moves, and troubleshooting appliances
• Snow removal and lawn care
• Support the Housing Manager with capital projects and staff housing improvements
• Assist the housing team with bi-monthly inspections
• Clean and prepare any rooms that do not meet established standards for move-ins
• Pick up debris and empty trash containers
• Clean public areas as required (such as kitchens and bathrooms)
• Arrange for monthly common area clear-outs
• Meet and greet new team members as instructed by the housing team
• Follow all health and safety regulations
• Participate in after-hours Housing Department on-call rotation.
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills & Experience

• At least one year of housekeeping or maintenance experience is preferred
• A valid Alberta driver’s license
• Positive, self-motivated, and passionate about creating the best possible team member experience
• Must have strong English communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills and attention to detail
• Able to work with minimal supervision
• Able to lift to 20lbs (often) up to 100lbs (occasionally)
