As a Staff Embedded Software Developer, you will be involved in the full development lifecycle of a flagship product that detects 0-day security threats. Your skills will be used to design, develop, maintain, and improve firmware components that are critical to our product.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop, design, and test software for Fortinet products
• Fix bugs and troubleshoot issues
• Maintain and document code using source control systems
• Support and optimize existing software or firmware
• Implement new features based on specifications

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of software development experience in Unix/Linux environments
• Experience with network programming and multi-threading
• Scripting skills in shell, Python, or Perl are a plus
• Experience with source control tools like SVN or Git
• Knowledge of AWS and Azure is advantageous
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience

The salary range for this position in Canada is approximately $133,000 to $163,000 annually, based on factors like experience, skills, and qualifications. Exact offers will depend on individual credentials.
