Responsibilities:

Architecture & Design:

• Lead the architecture and design of scalable, secure systems aligned with business goals.
• Create detailed specifications, design documents, and technical architectures.
• Design with scalability in mind, applying industry best practices.

Development & Implementation:

• Develop and implement system applications meeting organizational and user needs.
• Maintain high-quality, efficient code adhering to standards.
• Collaborate across teams to develop innovative solutions.

Continuous Improvement:

• Optimize and upgrade systems as business needs evolve.
• Address issues proactively to enhance system performance.

Quality Assurance & Testing:

• Conduct unit testing, resolve inefficiencies, and ensure quality.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders.
• Own projects, report progress, risks, and solutions.
• Foster a collaborative environment and mentor junior engineers.

Minimum Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Staff Developer or similar, with expertise in system architecture.
• At least 5+ years in system design and architecture.
• Experience designing scalable, secure, high-performance systems.
• Proficiency in Java, React.js or Angular, MySQL (15+ years experience appears inconsistent and likely an error).
• Strong knowledge of database management, security, and cloud tech.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ownership and project management skills.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of the big picture for solution design.
• Fintech background preferred.
