Job summary

Reddit, Inc. is seeking a senior data/ML scientist to design identity resolution models for on-/off-platform actions and lead rigorous experimentation at scale.

You will shape signal sources, build evaluation frameworks, and collaborate with engineering, product, and sales to align strategic goals and drive measurable ROAS. The role requires advanced degrees and 6–10+ years in data science with strong Python/R and SQL skills, plus experience in A/B testing and cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, or Operations Research.
• For MS holders: 10+ years of industry experience in applied science or data science roles.
• For Ph.D. holders: 6+ years of industry experience in applied science or data science roles.
• Deep understanding of the ads ecosystem.
• Expertise in Measurement & Experimentation at Scale, Identity Graph Creation & Resolution, or Predictive Modeling with Signal Loss.
• Advanced proficiency in statistical programming (Python or R) and SQL.
• Experience with machine learning or optimization techniques.
• Strong understanding of experimental design, causal inference, or A/B testing methodologies.
• Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills, with a track record of influencing product and engineering partners.

Responsibilities

• Design the Future of Ads Identity: develop models for identity resolution and linkage of on-/off-platform actions.
• Advance Lift Methodologies & Experimentation: own statistical rigor for Brand and Conversion Lift, enable large-scale testing.
• Maximize Signal for Predictive Performance: define new signals and integrate into models to improve ROAS.
• Define Ground Truth & Evaluation Frameworks: create objective functions and truth sets for training models.
• Lead Through Cross-Functional and Technical Influence: mentor teams and drive best practices across modeling and measurement.
