Reddit’s Ads Data Science team seeks a Senior Staff Data Scientist to own high-impact measurement, identity, and signal quality problems in advertising. You’ll drive cross-functional initiatives, set a high technical bar, and mentor other scientists while advancing the advertiser experience on Reddit.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in statistical programming (Python or R) and SQL.
• Experience with machine learning or optimization techniques.
• Strong understanding of experimental design, causal inference, or A/B testing methodologies.
• Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills, with cross-functional influence.
• Experience in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design the Future of Ads Identity by developing probabilistic models for identity resolution and linking on-platform and off-platform actions.
• Advance lift methodologies and experimentation, and build infrastructure for large-scale testing to improve ROAS.
• Maximize signal for predictive performance by defining new signal sources and integrating them into models.
• Define ground truth and evaluation frameworks to train models and measure incremental impact of identity graph.
• Lead through cross-functional influence by collaborating with engineering, product, and sales to drive action and set best practices.
