Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an experienced software engineer to join the Connectivity team. You will design, build, and operate the core connectivity infrastructure behind external tool calls, including the MCP proxy and OAuth/token management systems.

You will own reliability for critical infrastructure and work with enterprise IT governance, postmortems, and cross-team collaboration. Ideal candidates bring backend/platform experience, a product-focused mindset, and strong

Qualifications

Experience as a backend or platform engineer.
Familiarity with using AI tools as part of the software development process.
Take a product-focused approach to platform work and care about building robust, scalable solutions.
Take full ownership from design through build, deployment, and operations.
Ability to navigate ambiguity and make sound technical decisions independently.
Experience operating production distributed systems with reliability and observability in mind.
Excellent communication skills to build consensus across teams and time zones.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate connectivity infrastructure (MCP proxy, OAuth, token management).
Own reliability for infrastructure used by internal and external partners, including incident response and postmortems.
Develop admin controls and permission models for enterprise IT governance.
Contribute to MCP standard, its ecosystem, and SDKs (Python/TypeScript).
