Affirm is a remote-first company reinventing credit with transparent pay and no hidden fees. The Capacity Modeling team translates demand forecasts into capacity plans, mapping traffic to resources and sizing changes across regions.

You will set technical strategy for your team on a year-long horizon, collaborate with product, design and analytics, and own operations, monitoring, and on-call readiness to keep systems reliable and scalable.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale.
• Experience with Python or Kotlin in production.
• Proven track record in distributed systems design and reliability.

Responsibilities

• You will set technical strategy for your team on a yearly horizon.
• You will collaborate with product, design and analytics across the development lifecycle.
• You will define and advocate technical solutions and operational processes.
