Job summary

Wilkinson & Company LLP in Kingston is seeking a Staff Accountant, Articling (January 2027 Cohort). This full-time role involves preparing working papers, financial statements and compilations, and assisting with audits, reviews and tax engagements.

You will collaborate directly with clients, managers and partners, and gain experience with Caseware, TaxPrep, QuickBooks and Simply Accounting. The position supports CPA PEP progression and professional development.

Qualifications

• Applicants must have completed their university degree and be prepared and eligible to enroll in the CPA PEP.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Business Administration (Specializing in Accounting is preferred).
• Previous public accounting related experience is an asset.
• Knowledge of accounting standards and the Income Tax Act.
• Previous client/customer service related experience is an asset.
• The ability to work effectively as a member of the team.
• The ability to communicate with peers and clients both written and orally; and
• Experience with accounting and tax software such as Caseware, Tax Prep, Quickbooks and Simply Accounting is beneficial.
