Job summary

Live Nation Canada, Inc. is hiring an experienced accounting professional in Vancouver, BC. You will manage day-to-day accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, and supporting audits and regulatory filings.

The role requires 5 years of progressive accounting experience, a degree in accounting or finance, and strong Excel/ERP skills. Compensation ranges from $75,000 to $85,000 CAD and includes comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • CPA designation or active progress toward CPA is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and GST/PST; proficiency with Excel and ERP software.

Responsibilities

  • Complete bank reconciliations.
  • Complete balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable with customer setup and inquiries.
  • Prepare schedules for audits, tax filings, and internal reporting.
  • GST/PST filings and other regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Review GL accounts and investigate variances.
  • Post journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries.
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with policies.
  • Help improve accounting processes, controls, and documentation.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting questions.

THE ROLE

This role is responsible for day-to-day accounting, month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and ensuring accurate, timely financial records. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
  • Complete bank reconciliations.
  • Complete balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable with customer setup, inquiries, and reviewing of subledgers and aged balances.
  • Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits, tax filings, and internal reporting.
  • GST/PST filings and other regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Review general ledger accounts and investigate variances.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries.
  • Review financial data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Help improve accounting processes, controls, and documentation.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting questions and support operational needs.
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • CPA designation or active progress toward CPA certification is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and familiarity with GST/PST Proficiency with Excel and accounting/ERP software.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines independently.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

Sits for extended periods of time at a computer station or work desk; stands and walks throughout the day; occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.; uses hands and fingers to operate computers and office equipment for up to 8 hours each day; lifts up to 10 pounds regularly; exposed to typical office environment conditions and noise levels.
