The successful candidate will:
• hold a valid and subsistent Manitoba Permanent Professional Teaching Certificate,
• hold or already be working towards a Special Education Teaching Certificate,
• have experience and/or specific training related to this K-6 Resource Teacher position,
• work in consultation and collaboration with classroom teachers and all student support team
members to provide an effective and efficient academic support program for all learners,
• have experience in conducting school-based assessments and developing an evaluation of a
student’s learning needs,
• work in conjunction with administration, clinical support services team members and/or
medical professionals,
• exhibit a commitment to the use of differentiated and innovative instructional practices and
tools that enhance deep, relevant, and lifelong learning,
• have excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, time management, team, and leadership skills,
• have strong organizational skills to assist with EA deployments and supervisory scheduling,
• have a strong religious conviction and practice and have a teaching philosophy that is in
keeping with the values of Catholic education.
