Job summary

Interior Health seeks an experienced Sexual and Reproductive Health Registered Nurse to join our Trail, BC team. The role focuses on comprehensive SRH nursing, including STBBI services, contraception, cervical cancer screening, and gender-affirming care within a trauma-informed, culturally safe framework.

You will work in a fast-paced setting with strong emphasis on equity, education, prevention, and care coordination, partnering with other health providers and community services.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved school of nursing with current practice registration
• Mandatory certified practice registration in Reproductive Health (STBBI) with BCCNM
• Two years recent STBBI care experience or equivalent
• Current Class 5 Driver’s License

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing services related to sexual and reproductive health (STBBI screening, testing, treatment, contact tracing, contraception, pelvic exams, cervical cancer screening, HIV PEP/preP, immunizations, gender-affirming care)
• Apply health equity and social determinants of health perspectives to duties
• Support clients in navigating the health care system with trauma-informed, person-centered, culturally safe care
• Work within person-and-family-centered care models and coordinate care with IH and community services
