Job summary

TJX Canada is seeking an experienced SRE Engineer to ensure our critical services run reliably, securely, and efficiently at scale. You will collaborate with development, cloud, infrastructure, and support teams to build resilient platforms and advance reliability practices across the organization.

The role emphasizes monitoring, observability, and incident management, with hands-on work across Splunk, Azure Monitor, Grafana, and Dynatrace.

Qualifications

• Experience in SRE, production support, observability, monitoring, and incident management.
• Hands-on with Splunk, App Insights, Azure Monitor, Grafana, or Dynatrace.
• Experience with cloud/hybrid environments (Azure preferred) and automation.

Responsibilities

• Define, implement, and improve monitoring, alerting, observability, and reliability practices across critical enterprise applications.
• Lead major incident response, root cause analysis, and problem management activities.
• Partner with application, infrastructure, cloud, and support teams to establish SLI/SLO frameworks, reliability standards, and operational best practices.
• Drive automation, operational efficiency, and proactive detection capabilities through telemetry, analytics, and AIOps initiatives.

What You’ll Do:

• Define, implement, and continuously improve monitoring, alerting, observability, and reliability practices across critical enterprise applications

• Partner with application, infrastructure, cloud, and support teams to establish SLI/SLO frameworks, reliability standards, and operational best practices


• Drive automation, operational efficiency, and proactive detection capabilities through telemetry, analytics, and AIOps initiatives

About You:

• Strong experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Production Support, Observability, Monitoring, and Incident Management


• Hands-on experience with enterprise monitoring and observability platforms such as Splunk, App Insights, Azure Monitor, Grafana, Dynatrace, or similar tools


• Experience with cloud and hybrid environments (Azure preferred), automation, telemetry, logging, and performance monitoring


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering, infrastructure, product, and business teams
