Your Impact

To participate as an active and valuable member of the Variable Compensation team in the accurate calculation, preparation, and communication of variable compensation/performance results for worldwide business units. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Variable Compensation, this person will be responsible for performing complex variable compensation calculations, processing accruals, and analyzing and reconciling variable compensation accounts. The Variable Compensation Analyst may also be called upon to work on special projects throughout the year.

What The Role Offers
  • Performs complex calculations for variable compensation payments to sales and/or other qualifying personnel based on plan provisions.
  • Resolves escalated issues on payment reports and takes corrective actions to ensure accuracy and timeliness of payments as outlined in the plans.
  • Participates in the calculation and preparation of month-end accrials, prepares journal entries, reconciles balance sheet accounts, and investigates & resolves issues.
  • Resolves reconciliation issues using multiple systems, maintains or audits information needed to track revenue results.
  • Follows up on queries from plan participants, including investigation, analysis, resolution, and communication for internal and external customers.
  • Designs and provides training sessions for variable compensation plan participants regarding plan components and calculations.
  • Supports special projects, including acquisitions.
  • Contributes to ongoing process improvements and customer service enhancement.
What You Need To Succeed
  • Ability to establish rapport and effective working relationships with business partners, supervisors, and peers.
  • Ability to present ideas clearly and concisely to diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and identify relevant issues.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills; experience with Xactly, Xactly Analytics, and Tableau is an asset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related quantitative discipline; an advanced degree is a plus.
  • 1-2 years of experience in Compensation, financial analysis, or a similar role preferred.
