As the Sr Systems Developer you will be a member of an integral team responsible for developing system-based solutions by formulating programs, developing and maintaining codes and documenting processes for consistency and continuous improvement. You will contribute to a range of moderately complex and diverse team initiatives with the support of your team members.
Technologies You Have Experience With
- You have experience with at least one of the Guidewire suite of products - PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, or BillingCenter.
- You have experience with JIRA, JIRA Service Desk and Confluence or similar tools.
- Having experience with Guidewire plugins, Message Broker, REST/SOAP services, Informatica is an asset
- Integration or Policy Rating experience is a must.
- Experience in integration with Earnix is an asset.
How You Will Create Impact
- Leading the process of developing a cohesive plan to determine technologies and options for a working solution.
- Developing new code and leveraging existing code to implement system features of medium to large complexity.
- Creating an implementation and troubleshooting plan for a single system.
- Identifying and recommending solutions for application defects, determining root causes and minimizing the introduction of new defects.
- Performing unit testing and project management activities for small to medium sized initiatives, leading system development project teams and providing guidance to junior team members.

To Join Our Team
- You have five years of experience in Information Technology or a related field.
- You have completed post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Five or more years as a Developer supporting the Guidewire suite of products throughout the delivery life cycle/system development life cycle
- Having three or more years experience in Object Oriented Programming languages using JAVA technology is an asset
- You have experience with formulating the design and solutions for development of new product features and code enhancements utilizing behaviour/test driven development, preforming code reviews, and providing technical guidance to others.
- Proficiency in English is essential to the main duties in this role, including servicing and communicating primarily with majority non-francophone clients, groups, teams. Drafting complex English documents and preparing daily reports for anglophone leaders. The essential non-French duties are not assignable to adjacent or other team members.
