Qualifications

• Experience managing VMware on Cisco UCS Computing.
• Experience with the migration of workloads across VMware, Hyper-V, CIFS, NFS, OpenStack.
• Experience with P2V and V2V migrations.

Responsibilities

• Manage migrations of workloads across various computing infrastructures that power OpenText Cloud.
• Work independently within a geographically dispersed team.
• Build and maintain relationships with team members across global regions.

YOUR IMPACT

As a Senior Systems Administrator with the Lab Services Team, at OpenText, you will be part of a global team of administrators responsible for the migrations of workloads across various computing infrastructure that powers the OpenText Cloud.

The ideal candidate will be a team player, have previous experience of managing a large physical and virtual computing environment, and have a sound understanding of the technologies we support.

What You Need To Succeed

• Experience managing VMware on Cisco UCS Computing.
• Experience with the migration of workloads across VMWare, Hyper-V, CIFS, NFS, OpenStack
• Experience with P2V (Physical to Virtual) and V2V (virtual to virtual) migrations
• Experience with VMware vCloud technologies
• Excellent understanding of various Linux distributions (RHEL, Ubuntu, SLES, etc.)
• Excellent understanding of Windows technologies
• Practical experience with various hyper-visors (ESXi, KVM, XEN, Hyper-V, ProxMox)
• Understanding of NAS filesystem concepts
• Understanding of UNIX virtualization technologies, such as HPUX, LPARs, and LDOMs
• Progressive hands-on experience as an individual contributor in technologies related to OpenStack of various flavors – Canonical, RedHat, Ansible, etc.
• Understanding of various scripting technologies (PowerShell, Terraform, Anisble, Python)
• Experience using AI to automate processes and reduce manual workload.
• Basic Network troubleshooting skills
