Job summary

Randstad Canada is seeking a Senior Test Automation Developer to design, develop, and run automated tests ensuring the quality of our software products. The ideal candidate will implement robust test scripts and contribute to CI/CD pipelines in a hybrid Toronto office.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing.

• Identify, document, and track bugs and issues to resolution.

Our client, one of the top insurance companies, are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Test Automation Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the highest quality of our software products. This role requires a deep understanding of testing frameworks, automation tools, and best practices in software testing. Additionally, the candidate will be required to create and execute manual test cases and develop comprehensive test plans.

• Pay rate: $70 to $80 Inc Rate
• 2 - 3 days hybrid in the office

• 6 months contract (might be extended)

The must haves are as follows:

• Hands-on programming with one or more: Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript, typescript.
• Strong experience with tools such as Playwright, Selenium, JUnit/TestNG, and performance tools (e.g., JMeter).
• Hands on experience testing Oracle ERP & payments
• General Ledger, Accounts Payable

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in test automation development.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
• Strong experience with test automation tools like Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is advantageous.
• For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.

• Key Tasks: Integration testing between systems (e.g., bank payment integrations and landing data into the ERP).
• Rule of Thumb: Strong QA skills without experience in these specific modules are not worth submitting, unless exceptional (see exceptions below).
