Job description

Apex Systems is a global IT services provider, and our staffing practice has an opening for a Test Lead with 7+ years’ experience in a QA environment, preferably within a leadership capability, as well as experience with testing HR Modules of SAP SuccessFactors, stakeholder management, and business analysis to place at our client, a Global Agricultural company.

Contract: Long term contract

Location: Calgary, AB (open to candidates in Saskatoon, SK as well)

Schedule: Full time, 3 days onsite per week

Start Date: ASAP

Job Description:

The QA Lead will be responsible for leading and coordinating all aspects of testing activities for each project. They will lead different groups of people, including project team members and external testers, following a prescribed methodology. The role involves managing multiple systems, teams, and testing phases from SIT to UAT, Smoke, and Regression testing.

In this role, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team testing SAP SuccessFactors, requiring extensive knowledge of SuccessFactors HR Modules, testing methods, and techniques. Our QA Test Leads work effectively both independently and as team leaders, applying their skills to solve business problems.

Education / Experience:

• University degree or college diploma in Business, Computer Sciences, Quality Engineering, or equivalent
• 7+ years in the IT industry with experience as an IT Test Lead for software implementations
• Experience building strong relationships with business and IT stakeholders
• SAP SuccessFactors experience is mandatory, including writing test scripts for SAP
• Hands-on QA lead experience in a testing environment
• Project Management / Business Analysis experience
• Experience with Smoke and Regression testing is an asset
• Experience collaborating with Business stakeholders, Business Analysts, and Project Leads

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Creating and managing Use Cases, Test Scenarios, Test Cases, and Test Scripts
• Performing hands-on QA testing alongside team leadership
• Overseeing testing efforts and resource coordination according to PMO methodology
• Training project team members and end-users on testing systems and processes
• Managing testing outcomes, reporting status, and analyzing defects
• Working efficiently in a high-demand environment
