Job summary

CNOOC International is seeking an experienced Production Engineer to monitor, analyze, and optimize SAGD operations in our Alberta portfolio. The role involves compiling monthly reports, validating production data, and supporting digital tool development to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical preferred) and P.Eng. designation with APEGA or eligibility.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
• Proficiency with data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI) and familiarity with digital reporting systems.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• 10+ years of experience in Steam-Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD) or related oil & gas production is preferred.

Your Background

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably in Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical).
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation with APEGA, or eligibility to obtain registration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) and familiarity with digital reporting systems.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• A proactive approach to learning and supporting innovation in production processes.
• A strong technical background in oil and gas production, with a preference for candidates experienced 10+ years in Steam-Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD).
