Job summary

RBC is seeking an experienced security architect to design and oversee enterprise security architectures for proxy, firewall, and IPS deployments. You will own delivery streams for complex engineering initiatives, drive platform strategies, and mentor junior engineers to uphold security standards.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Architecture and Integration teams to validate strategies and ensure smooth handovers, with a focus on leveraging AI/ML capabilities to strengthen threat

Qualifications

• 7–10 years in IT with 5+ years designing and engineering enterprise security technologies (proxy, firewall, IPS/threat detection)
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses
• Expert proficiency in proxy/URL filtering (Symantec WSG, Palo Alto SWG) and firewall design (Check Point, Palo Alto Networks)
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and complex problem-solving capabilities with ability to design integrated, multi-layered solutions
• Self-motivated, autonomous, and deadline-driven; proven ability to deliver high-quality outputs with minimal oversight

Must Have:

• 7–10 years in IT with 5+ years designing and engineering enterprise security technologies (proxy, firewall, IPS/threat detection)

Nice-to-Have:

• Advanced security certifications (GIAC, CISSP, CEH) or equivalent domain expertise
• Python automation experience for configuration, testing, or operational efficiency improvements
• Experience with AI/ML integration patterns or emerging security technologies (Model Context Protocol, Network Security protection of LLM’s and AI Workloads)
• Hands-on experience with Intrusion Prevention Systems and threat detection/anomaly detection technologies
