What You'll Be Doing
As a member of CIBC’s Technology Architecture Governance and Standards team, you will be responsible for providing advice and consultation for the governance of and end-to-end management for enterprise standards. The role offers governance-based leadership, interpreting complex information related to technology, cyber, and operational requirements into standard requirements, with a focus on automation. The Senior Manager, Process Engineering will work closely with various architecture and technology teams to ensure governance controls operate effectively and efficiently.

How You'll Succeed
- Conducting Process and Other Assessments: Perform ongoing process reviews to identify issues early and recommend solutions. Stay updated on industry best practices to identify process improvement opportunities, including automation. Interpret problems shared by senior management to lead resolution efforts.
- Understanding Regulatory, Operational Risk, and Industry Best Practices: Work closely with internal and external partners to assess requirements and facilitate discussions to meet governance needs.
- Build strong relationships: Lead discussions, listen actively, and ask questions to ensure requirements are met and sustainability is governed.
- Problem Solving: Develop creative solutions and innovative approaches to issues and opportunities.
- Automation: Identify automation opportunities, build the business case, and develop automation solutions using Power Automate and Power BI.
- Champion risk / compliance / governance culture: Support end-to-end compliance and risk management as a subject matter expert, guiding a diverse team of architecture and technology professionals. Maintain a collaborative environment and assist team members in resolving organizational, operational, and process challenges.
- Presenting Recommendations: Present ideas and recommendations to senior management to secure buy-in and drive execution. Overcome resistance by persuasively communicating the need for transformation and continuous improvement.
- Leadership Skills: Take ownership of and lead transformative projects and initiatives. Proactively gather data, stakeholder feedback, and provide informed guidance. Support your team in problem resolution and project execution.
