Job Description We are seeking a diverse and well-rounded Sr. HVAC / R Technician (Journeyperson) to join our growing team. You are someone who shares our passion for technical innovation along with high-quality customer service. You have a naturally curious and entrepreneurial spirit and, as a seasoned Sr. Technician, you are ready to inspire the next generation of HVAC / R apprentices and uphold the highest levels in HVAC / R standards and service. You currently feel the need for continued growth within the industry and would like to partner with a company that supports continued education and training within the HVAC / R industry with the potential to move into leadership and management. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in HVAC / R systems with a firm understanding of all aspects of the trade including installations, retrofits, and service / maintenance. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and service, at a minimum, the following systems : AHUs, RTUs, Chillers, Coils, Fans, Electrical, Thermostats and Combustion Systems and all other commercial grade HVAC / R systems. Inspect and test HVAC / R systems to ensure they are functioning properly. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC / R systems to prevent breakdowns and improve efficiency. Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with HVAC / R systems and make necessary repairs. Advocate for digital systems and support the systems already put into place by the Company, ensuring all aspects of a job from scheduling, communication, and customer interactions are streamlined, yet transparent. Collaborate with the management team including Co-owners, Service Department, Marketing and Business Development to ensure all areas of the business are moving towards the same business goals. Provide exceptional customer service and clear communication. Follow safety procedures and regulations while working on HVAC / R systems. Lead by Example : support apprentices in understanding the mechanical systems and driving a thoughtful and hard-working approach to each project and customer interaction. Qualifications 10 years experience as a HVAC / R technician Red Seal in HVAC / R ticket (required) Class B Gas ticket (required) Valid driver's license and a clean driving record Ability to read, understand and communicate with suppliers, manufacturers and refer to technical manuals for service and retrofit projects Ability to run large-scale commercial installs including reading blueprints, assessing and recommending changes as necessary with Engineers and General Contractors, ability to manage a team of apprentices, drive timelines and scheduling and meet business targets Familiarity with controls would be an asset Excellent problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently or as part of a team Ability to lead and train Compensation Hourly Starting Wage : $74.93 / hour Extended Benefits : Yes Health Spending Account : Yes Corporate VISA : Corporate Credit Card usage for gas and other incidentals Van and Tools : Yes Training and Education : Yes, customized in line with business and career goals Profit Sharing : Between 1-2% / annum, paid out in September Potential for equity into the business for that rare "Rock Star" Sr. HVAC / R Technician Schedule : 8-hour shift Monday to Friday Rotating on call Overtime Benefits : Company van Extended healthcare Dental care Vision care Vacation pay Licence / Certification : Driver's license (required) HVAC / R Red Seal Ticket (required) Gas B Ticket (required) Work Location : Throughout the lower mainland at various site locations, depending on each project Micron : Precision.
