Responsibilities

1. Build and lead a team of highly talented ML engineers.
2. Manage data engineers and analysts for efficient operations and robust design solutions.
3. Implement best practices for SDLC, system integrations, security, performance, and data management.
4. Drive end-to-end data and ML workflows for domain-specific use cases.
5. Collaborate with Product Management and stakeholders to understand requirements, evaluate features, and develop roadmaps.
6. Partner with architects and technical leads to create impactful solutions.
7. Build an inclusive culture, mentor team members, and empower teams to reach their potential.
8. Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and excellence in software development, ML, and data engineering.

Minimum Qualifications

1. BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
2. 8+ years managing software development, data engineering, or ML teams.
3. Proficiency in SQL, Python, PySpark, Scala, etc.
4. Experience with training and deploying PyTorch models.
5. Proven record of deploying production ML models.
6. Expertise in ETL pipelines and orchestration tools like Airflow.
7. Experience with AWS or similar platforms.
8. Knowledge of modern software practices including CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, version control, and testing.
9. Ability to communicate progress proactively to partners and leadership.
10. Skill in managing and resolving complex issues.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Hands-on expertise in data pipelines, engineering tools, and infrastructure.
2. Proficiency in building ML models—supervised and unsupervised.
3. Skills in statistical programming, database query languages, and ML packages.
4. Applied statistical skills and experience with AWS models and NOSQL databases.
5. Knowledge of data visualization tools.
