Your Role and Responsibilities

As part of the Hardware Team, you will develop high-performance custom electronic boards for photonic quantum computers, working closely with physicists and engineers. You will contribute your expertise in precision analog measurement and digital control, designing, testing, and debugging low-noise analog and mixed-signal circuits. Your work will focus on creating the electronic control architecture for photonic quantum devices, involving hands-on lab work and optimization of electronic modules.

Basic Qualifications and Experience

• BSc or higher in electrical engineering.
• 5+ years of industry or academic experience in relevant disciplines.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• MSc or PhD in electrical engineering, physics, or related fields.
• 8+ years combined academic and industry experience, including 3+ years industry experience.
• Expertise in low-noise ADC/DAC data acquisition and analog control systems.
• Experience with RF testing equipment (VNAs, ESAs, AWGs, etc).
• Knowledge of noise sources and mitigation strategies in electrical systems.
• Design experience with FPGA-based digital control systems.
• Familiarity with communication protocols (Ethernet, USB, I2C, SPI, etc).
• Experience with logic families (CMOS, TTL) and high-speed differential signaling.
• Knowledge of optics/photonics components (photodiodes, lasers, fiber optics).
• Proficiency with Altium Designer and Cadence Virtuoso Layout Suite.
