Senior Education Program Associate provides administrative coordination and operational support to faculty, residents, and academic leaders related to medical education. This includes coordinating assessment activities related to Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME), supporting resident well-being initiatives, managing projects and events, and ensuring the effective implementation of assessment processes and program requirements. The Senior EA serves as the primary administrative resource and liaison for MedSIS, supporting assessment workflows, troubleshooting user issues, maintaining data integrity, generating reports, and facilitating the effective use of the platform by education administrators and program leadership.
Senior EA will work collaboratively with a variety of DFM staff and faculty, as part of the larger DFM education administrative team.
Responsible for providing administrative support for an academic program or department, the Senior Education Program Associate plans and coordinates a variety of academic program or department events, projects and activities and is also accountable for monitoring the applicable project and event budgets and forecasting financial gains and shortfalls. Performs the duties of the position in accordance with established policies, procedures, and calendar of events, and is responsible for coordinating resident rotation schedules and a variety of educational events and other learning and research initiatives. Creates positive partnerships with preceptors, teaching units, clinics, sites, campuses, practices, and other support staff.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years' experience working in an academic, healthcare, or clinical education environment, including experience supporting medical learners within a distributed education model. Demonstrated experience coordinating complex administrative processes, managing competing priorities, and working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders is essential.
The candidate will possess strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, with a proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and database management systems, is required, along with experience using virtual meeting and learning technologies such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or equivalent platforms. Experience with residency assessment systems, particularly MedSIS, is considered a strong asset.
