Job summary

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of experience in data analysis within capital markets, with a focus on client/reference data and corporate structures.
• Extensive experience with SQL (Dremio), Python, Databricks, and Advanced Excel (V-lookups, formulas).
• Proven ability to work with large datasets, identify data quality issues, and implement scalable remediation solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex data remediation and analysis across large, structured and unstructured datasets to ensure data accuracy and consistency according to enterprise standards.
• Identify and mitigate data risks by developing and implementing data quality improvement frameworks and control solutions.
• Collaborate with business, technology, and data stakeholders to understand requirements, influence strategy, and deliver scalable data solutions.
• Design and deploy automation and process enhancements using Python, SQL, and workflow tools to improve efficiency and control effectiveness.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for Party & Account data domains, providing guidance and resolving complex issues.
• Translate business needs into data logic and rules, ensuring compliance with governance standards and downstream data consumption.
• Lead project initiatives, managing prioritization, implementation, and tracking across multiple workstreams.
• Generate insights and reports to support decision-making, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities for senior leadership.
• Develop strong relationships across teams, influencing stakeholders and fostering collaboration among Operations, Technology, and Data teams.
• Mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing, best practices, and high performance.
• Promote accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement aligned with organizational values.

Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Senior Data Analyst-Capital Markets/Data/SQL. This is a key position within a dynamic team focused on data analysis, remediation, and strategic data initiatives related to consumer data within the capital markets domain. The successful candidate will leverage advanced technical skills and domain knowledge to support enterprise data quality and regulatory compliance efforts.
Pay rate range (CAD): $45.73/hr– $54.88/hr

Desired Skill-Set

• 5 to 7 years of experience in data analysis within capital markets, with a focus on client/reference data and corporate structures
• Extensive experience with SQL (Dremio), Python, Databricks, and Advanced Excel (V-look ups, formulas)
• Proven ability to work with large datasets, identify data quality issues, and implement scalable remediation solutions
• Strong understanding of FX products and data from a system perspective
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex data concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and master data management practices
• Demonstrated stakeholder management and influence skills without direct authority
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a proactive problem-solving approach
• High level of organization and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
