Job summary

FedEx Group recherche un messager/intervenant pour assurer la livraison et le ramassage efficaces des colis, couvrant au moins 15 routes lorsque l’employé habituel est absent. Le poste est basé à Mirabel, QC et implique des responsabilités de mentorat envers les employés horaires.

Le candidat doit avoir un diplôme d’études secondaires, être bilingue (français et anglais) et posséder un permis de conduire valide avec un bon dossier.

• Promouvoir les ventes et identifier des revenus additionnels lorsque possible.

Job description

This is an interview position.

To operate company vehicles and provide efficient delivery and pickup of packages while performing in a floating capacity for a minimum of 15 routes. To work as a courier but not on an assigned regular route.

To model the way for hourly employees by becoming a mentor and demonstrating role model behaviour including strong communication, conflict resolution and leadership ability (through Best Practices methods)

Promotes continued sales and generates potential incremental revenue wherever possible

Conduire des véhicules de l'entreprise et fournir une livraison et un ramassage efficaces des colis tout en fonctionnant à titre de suppléant sur au moins 15 routes. Travailler comme messager mais pas sur un itinéraire régulier assigné.

Donner l’exemple aux employés horaires en devenant un mentor et en faisant figure de modèle de comportement notamment dans la communication, la résolution de conflit et le leadership (en appliquant les meilleures pratiques).

Favoriser la poursuite des ventes et générer des revenus supplémentaires autant que possible

Remarque:

• Le titulairede ce poste n'a pas de route attitrée. Il couvre les routes dont le messager attitré est absent.
• L'exigence d'être un spécialiste des matières dangereuses dépend de la taille et de l'emplacement de la succursale. La haute direction (niveau D.G.) peut outrepasser ces exigences selon son bon jugement.

Compétences techniques

Solide connaissance de ce qui suit:

• Permis de conduire en règle et bon dossier de conduite.
• Réussir toutes les formations de base et formations périodiques (y compris l'obtention et le maintien de la certification en matières dangereuses). Doit maintenir l'accréditation par la formation récurrente annuelle avant l'expiration.
• Obtenir et garder la certification de spécialiste en matières dangereuses de FedEx.
• Bien comprendre les services de FedEx, leurs modalités et le fonctionnement général de l'entreprise.
• Pouvoir soulever des charges de 70lb et manœuvrer, à l’aide d’un appareil approprié, des colis pesant jusqu’à 150lb.
• Une certaine connaissance des activités de Federal Express et de la réglementation douanière canadienne constitue un atout.
• Au Québec, le candidat ou la candidate doit être bilingue (français et anglais).

Technical Skill Requirements

Solid knowledge of the following:

Must possess a valid drivers licence and have a good driving record.

Ability to successfully complete all basic and recurrency training (including completing and maintaining DG certification). Must maintain accreditation through yearly recurrency training prior to expiration.

Ability to gain and maintain FedEx DG Specialist certification

Good understanding of FedEx products, features of service, general operations.

Ability to lift 70 lbs and to maneuver any package weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment.

Some knowledge of Federal Express operations and Canadian Customs regulations an asset.

In the Province of Quebec, must be bilingual (French and English).
