Peoples Group in Toronto is seeking a Senior Funder to lead complex commercial mortgage funding and closing activities. The role covers CMHC-insured and multi-entity transactions, with a focus on compliance, accuracy, and timely funding.
You will mentor junior funders, support process improvements, and ensure adherence to credit and legal requirements in a hybrid work environment.
We are hiring for this position out of our Toronto office. Successful candidates who apply outside of these areas will be expected to relocate and reside in a location that is within a commutable distance.
The Senior Funder is responsible for leading complex commercial mortgage funding and closing activities across a diverse portfolio, including construction CMHC-insured, and multi-entity transactions. Acting as a senior subject matter expert, the role ensures accurate and timely funding execution, compliance with credit, legal, and operational requirements, and security monitoring, and risk mitigation activities. The Senior Funder also supports projects and report monitoring, contributes to process improvements and operational initiatives, and provides guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Peoples Group offers a flexible and hybrid work environment. In this role you will work a combination of in-office and remotely from home. Typically, you'll be working regular business hours, Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm with flexibility around start/end times.
Peoples Group is pleased to offer employees a competitive annual salary plus a discretionary profit share opportunity. Salary for this position will vary between $65,000 and $75,000 per year depending on the knowledge, skills, abilities and experience that the chosen candidate possesses.
