Job summary

Core Laboratories Inc. is seeking a Senior CNC Operator to set up, operate and optimize CNC machining processes in Red Deer. You will work with engineering, quality and production teams to ensure precision and efficiency while training junior operators.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
• Minimum 5 years of CNC experience and related setup tasks.
• Ability to perform tool changes, offset adjustments, and machine checks.

Job description

The Senior CNC Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and optimizing CNC machining equipment to produce precision components that meet quality, productivity, and safety standards. This role serves as a technical resource for machine operators, assists with training and mentoring team members, and works closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure efficient manufacturing operations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up and operate CNC equipment according to production requirements.

• Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency standards are met.

• Perform routine tool changes, offset adjustments, and machine checks.

• Inspect parts using measuring equipment and document inspection results.

• Identify, troubleshoot, and report machine or quality issues.

• Maintain production records and ensure accurate reporting.

• Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures.

• Assist in training and mentoring less experienced CNC operators.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Manufacturing or machine shop environment.

• Minimum 5 years of CNC experience

• Experience performing machine setups, tooling changes, and offset adjustments.
