Key Responsibilities

  1. Requirements Elicitation & Analysis: Conduct workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions to gather and refine business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
  2. Current And Target State Analysis: Analyze the current loyalty systems' business processes, integrations, and data models. Contribute to designing the future-state business workflows post-merger.
  3. Documentation And Communication: Prepare high-quality artifacts including business requirement documents (BRDs), user stories, use cases, process flow diagrams, and acceptance criteria.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison between business teams, product owners, architects, and technical teams across 27+ product groups in the Best Western ecosystem.
  5. Data Analysis And Mapping: Understand the loyalty programs' data structures (Oracle databases with SystemID segregation) and contribute to data mapping, migration planning, and validation.
  6. Solution Validation: Support user acceptance testing (UAT) by defining test scenarios, reviewing test scripts, coordinating defect triaging, and validating that delivered solutions meet business expectations.
  7. Change Management Support: Assist in impact analysis for system changes and ensure effective change communication and stakeholder buy-in.

Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

  • 8+ years as a Business Analyst in enterprise system integration or modernization programs.
  • Prior experience with loyalty programs, CRM systems, or hospitality domain preferred. Strong background working with legacy Java applications (JBoss, Struts, Spring) and modern AWS cloud platforms is a plus.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in requirements management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, ADO). Ability to understand APIs, data flows, and integration designs.
  • Experience creating process models, UML diagrams, and data mapping sheets.
  • Familiarity with IAM models, API Gateways, serverless architectures, and microservices concepts is desirable.

  • Expertise in business process reengineering, gap analysis, and user journey mapping.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • High attention to detail and ownership mindset.

Preferred Certifications

  • CBAP – IIBA (preferred)
  • Agile/Scrum certifications (CSM, CSPO, SAFe BA Certification)
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner (a plus)
